Green design in every project
We incorporate LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) guidelines into all our
projects and closely identify with the need for energy retrofitting of existing buildings. We stay
abreast of developing technologies and embrace the successful design strategies of regional
architecture. We regard every site and project as an opportunity to improve our relationship with
the earth through design.
GREEN DESIGN
Sensitive and sensible approach to caring for old buildings
Throughout all projects involving old buildings, we honor the history and spirit of the place, while
bringing the building into step with the needs of the current owner. We work within Federal
guidelines for preserving, rehabilitating, restoring and reconstructing old buildings. We have
specific experience in restoring limestone, terracotta, brick masonry, wood frames and wood
cladding, slate, copper, marble, scagliola and historic textiles. We have experience with lighting
fixture and stained glass restoration.
HISTORIC RESTORATION
From Eco-Villages to Co-Housing
We create harmony in community groups through moderating their land development and
building planning activities. Whether planning a new urban eco-village or bringing together
neighbors already living side-by-side, our goal is to create a collaborative environment in living
and design. Our work is influenced by diverse writings on urbanism and real living exemplified by
intentional communities throughout the world.
COMMUNITY PLANNING
Bringing places back into balance
Many cultures and religions have their own traditions of cleansing and transforming the energy of
a place. We harmonize space by walking the land, dowsing for stresses, connecting with the
history of the place, using sound to resonate and vibrate through the place, filling the space with
clear energy through the practice of Reiki (hands-on-healing). Our results are clear, effective and
transformative.
